Cries ensued, as laughter died
in black everyone was clad
every heart engulfed in sorrow
in their mind the fury was mad.
They spared no life, had no respite
for these were belligerent men
lurking beneath in the dark shadows
even death was not an omen.
While we sharpened our minds
they sharpened their tools
they learnt to retaliate with guns
those crazy,impudent fools.
"I can't do this mother",one bellowed
as his tiny hands shook
cynical ways they adopted
in turning that one into a crook.
They sinned as they preached
"It is God's will being done"
spoke of paths leading to Him
but believed in none.
BUT,they were not born to kill,
just their mindset is small
bereft of a human touch,
they are one among us all.
On animosity they thrive
with love they shall perish
And peace shall spread its wings over
the seamless world we cherish.
They are victims of injustice
with despair their hearts they fill
embrace them with a big heart 'cause they were not born to kill!!
