Open Space presents
A National Competition on Public Service Advertising (PSA) in association with Framework Academy of Cinema and Television, Pune.
Think you can come up with thought provoking, informative, innovative ideas on social justice issues? Think you have it in you to make a slick flick? This is your chance to showcase your work …Just pick up your Digital Video camera and SHOOT!
You can select from these themes:
- What YOU can do about global warming
- The HIV-positive have rights too
- Living together, promoting diversity
- Protect the girl child

Prizes:
1st prize: Rs.10,000
2nd prize: Rs 8,000
3rd prize: Rs 5,000
Winners also get an opportunity to showcase their work on the Infochangeindia and Open Space website, which receive around 65,000 and 8000 visitors per month respectively. There will be screenings at Open Space and possibly at colleges, other public spaces.
Films will be judged on:
- Originality
- Accuracy and relevance of information conveyed
- Efficacy of the messaging
- Creativity
- Technical finesse and production values
Rules and guidelines:
- A maximum of 2 entries can be submitted per individual or team
- Duration of each film must be minimum 60 seconds to maximum 120 seconds
- All entries must be submitted in DVD format as a MOV/ MPEG/ AVI file
- You can use a handycam or 3CCD digital video camera for better broadcast quality
- No explicit branding of any sort is permissible
- The film shall not contain any sort of vulgarity or nudity and should not hurt the religious sentiments or sensibilities of anyone in any way
- The location of the film should be open to general public and not exclusive in any way
- The primary language of the film should be English or Hindi
- The competition is open to people residing in India currently
- The competition is open to people currently residing in India
Copyrights:
- Any soundtrack used for the film should not be copyright protected
- CCDS has the right to use for public education purposes all entries submitted for the contest
Judges:
A jury comprising filmmakers, development and communications specialists

Awards will be announced one month after the last date for receiving entries.
In case of any dispute related to the film arising with a third party, Open Space, CCDS and Frameworks Academy of Cinema and Television will not be held responsible; any disputes shall be dealt with by the person/s submitting the entry
