TALKING POETRY
Mythri Surendra
Mythri Surendra discovered the joy of words in her years at college (1996-2000). The years when one is easily rebellious, inspired and opinionated. Words came easily but petered off in the years to come and as the axiom goes - "If poetry does not come as easily as leaves to a tree, it better not come at all".
And so the words came in spurts with years between unaccounted for. Mythri believes it true that art is born of either extreme pain or extreme joy, as is reflected in her poetry. Now at 28 she waits, with no sense of angst or expectation, but waits none the less for the next 'Big Emotion' to hit the highway and get her adrenaline churning again. |
